Mrs. Whackett started as a primary school educator and a dedicated supporter of schools' cheerleading programs before pioneering one of Canberra's leading cheer training schools. As the main cheerleading coach, Mrs. Whackett holds the necessary credentials such as Bachelor’s Degree in Education, USASF Level II Coach, and Australian Gymnastic Level 1 Cheer Coach. The cheer class for children is a fun based introductory cheerleading class involving age appropriate stunts, routines, dance movements and cheers. Different cheerleading techniques will be taught according to the age and fitness level of the students. Heat Cheerleading strives to encourage athletes as well as to improve their skill, fitness, and cooperation through a combination of individual effort and team work.
