About Optimisation

Optimisation is a very important part of online searching. The 100 or so search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN etc all try to deliver the best possible results for the search terms which people use.

Optimisation is all about creating content which is relevant to the search terms which people use. If you are a landscaping business in Brisbane then the information you present online should be relevant to “landscaping services in Brisbane”.

Remember, the big search engines are all about delivering high quality results, period! If you choose to be misleading in order to rank highly on search engine results, the effects can be very damaging to your standing in the order of displayed results.

dLook can help you create optimised relevant content for your business so that when somebody who is looking for your goods or services finds your listing, they will have actually found the information they were looking for and therefore be more likely to contact your business.

Even more impressive is that you don’t even need a website to be found online.

Monthy Reports

dLook Premium listings receive a monthly report showing the number of times their “More Information page” has been viewed over the previous month, and since July 2008.

These statistics are vital to business owners who want to know the effectiveness of their advertising dollar.

$1.63 per day for a Premium listing doesn’t sound like much but it is still an investment in your advertising and you are entitled to know what exposure you are getting from it.

If you have a website you should then compare the traffic your dLook listing received against the number of people who clicked through to your website from dLook.

If you need some help or advice on this matter please feel free to call the helpful staff at dlook during business hours on (02) 8249 8120.

Offer Discount Codes and Promotional Dockets

dLook recognised the need for an efficient electronic discount coupon years ago with the first draft of our business directory. By allowing businesses to display online discount coupons along with their business contact details, dLook was the first directory in Australia to recognise the value to both businesses and consumers. It has also been very encouraging to see the other big online directories follow our lead.

While it's all very well and good to have online discount dockets, the problem arises of how to present the growing number of discount offers to consumers so that they don't spend hours sorting through the offers they are interested in and those they are not.

To solve this problem dLook came up with the idea of having a completely separate website dedicated to classifying and presenting the 100s of different discount dockets and promotions to the thousands of dLook subscribers who have them delivered by email every month. Coupons.dLook.com.au was very cleverly built to be easy to navigate and have all the different coupon classifications in an easy to read table at the top of the home page.

Priority in dLook Search Results

Whilst dLook has nearly 1.4 million Australian businesses listed on the directory a certain percentage of them have opted for the Premium option.

These are the businesses which appear at the front of the relevant search results with a dLook pink background and a Premium star.

So why pay to have your business appear at the front?

We'll let you work that one out.
