Martin and his colleague Michael are fantastic dive masters and guides. We did 3 dives with Martin one day and 3 with Michael the second day. From the moment we met them to when we left both were very friendly and made the whole experience enjoyable by sharing their sizeable knowledge about the reef with us as well as giving us tips on how to enjoy Port Douglas outside of diving.

When diving, they were thorough about checking that we had enough air and that everyone was having a good time. They also spotted tons of reef life we may not have noticed by ourselves. We felt comfortable with them and were able to focus on enjoying the reef because they made sure we didn't have to worry about anything. They even set up our gear before and between dives! We are all certified divers and they were able to tailor the dives to our experience level.

They rent space on a large boat so for someone with motion sickness this helped a lot as opposed to going out on a small boat. Martin also speaks fluent Spanish which may be helpful for those who prefer Spanish.

I would highly recommend Scuba IQ to anyone looking for a unique diving experience. When I come back in the future I will for sure be diving with this company again.

After doing some research on PADI OW training options in PD for my son I came upon Martin and his team at Scuba IQ who was absolutely top notch and deserving of 6 ⭐️s. As a diver of 30 years myself I was very impressed with Martin’s professionalism and attentiveness to customer service. My son has Type 1 diabetes and Martin took every precaution I could have asked for and more - including emailing the dive doctor to cover off on some issues the doc had raised prior to our arrival from the Sunny Coast.
